Moon Magic is back!

I started writing about the influence of the Moon on our lives when I published Healers iStock 2188225991 Almanac, Wisdom from the 21st Century Goddess. In this next series of Moon Magic articles, I will bring in the Goddess of the Month and tie it into the rest of the Lunar Astrology.  Then I’ll give you a quick ritual to help you really connect with the Magic of the New and Full Moon.

The New Moon February 17 is in the sign of Aquarius and our hive mind will be buzzing with new ways to connect and cooperate on both personal and collective levels. Aquarian New Moon’s guide us to being that good humanitarian that wants and needs to break from tradition with innovation and original thinking.

Other astrological influences we will be feeling.

We have a solar eclipse and it’s our cosmic wake up call to be the change we wish to see in the world. Watch as people gather to bust outdated systems and embrace unconventional solutions.

The Sun transitions from Aquarius into Pisces and merges the forward‑thinking energy of Aquarius with the intuitive, empathetic, spiritual tone of Pisces. Your creativity will be lit!
Mercury and Venus also move into Pisces. This will put humanity back into logical and sometimes sterile solutions to global problems.

The Moon squares Uranus and we will be juggling unpredictability, creativity and originality.

Basically, expect unexpected and sudden opportunities, or an urge to break out of your own box.

Saturn (the planet of discipline and structure) enters Aries roughly around mid‑February.
Personal responsibility rules the day. How refreshing!  Remember to stay grounded as the Aquarian energy can make you flighty.

Mashing this all together, you could feel the need for connection with a group of like minded people, be authentic, and start something amazing and outside your normal way of being.  With the solar eclipse energy this New Moon can feel transformational and a little fast paced.

Speaking of fast paced, on February 17th the Chinese New Year brings in the Fire Horse. The overall energy will be energetic, almost impulsive and full of passion, creativity and courage.

The lesson of the Fire Horse is to learn to balance the elements of your life. Between freedom and commitment, tyranny and constructive leadership and truth and manipulation. All of this is supported by the energy of the number 10 or 1. In numerology, the 10 year means co-creativity and the 1 is new beginnings. The year 2026 is a 10 /1 year.

Ironically the Goddess for the month is Meredith, the Goddess of Balance.  Learn how to live in balance by refining your ability to discern the best course of action with Meredith’s meditation on balance in The Healers Almanac. Available on our websites.

Easy Ritual for the New Moon in Aquarius.

You will need a Crown of Success candle by Aunt Jacki and the Waabi Spray Jasmine Dreams. While reflecting on how you want to show up in your community and your contribution to a better world, light the Crown of Success candle. Focus on finding your people. Then, when you go out, lightly spray the Waabi Jasmine Dreams spray around you to attract like minded people willing to collaborate and make a difference.
